Petting Grey Whales in Baja
Guests have the chance for whale petting in Baja. They will see dozens of mom and baby gray whales and with a little luck they can actually touch them. The great time for petting the grey whales in Baja is when the calves are just getting curious enough to come right up to the surface and let you pet them as they will be as friendly as can be. This is because the whale moms will sometimes nudge their youngsters closer when it is right. Guests will have these direct encounters that can include witnessing two moms and two babies all coming closer at once, resulting in guests finding it difficult to know where to look. Each boat trip is about 1 ½ hours on the water and can seem that we are constantly surrounded by grey whales almost the entire time we are on the boat.
